Profile of Roach

Roach is a frail-looking wolf, thin and pale, with dull blue eyes. Despite his size and rather long legs, his posture tends to make him look smaller.

Roach is a loner, so it isn't often that he seeks out others' company; large groups make him particularly uncomfortable. Still, he tries to be kind to those he meets, though he's quiet, preferring not to speak unless spoken to first.

Roach lost both his parents to a terrible illness when he was young. It forced him to fend for himself, and so for many months, he kept to the outskirts of town, stealing what scraps of food he could to get by. An elderly wolf caught him in the act, one day, but rather than punish him, he decided to take him in as an apprentice, of sorts. He tended to the local cemetery and taught Roach the tools of his trade—how to dig graves and bury the dead. When he passed, Roach took over for him, both to honor his memory and because he felt as though he'd finally found his calling in life.
