Profile of Raith

A pelt of dark embers and rust with his lowers dipped in ivory foam as if dripping off to reveal that rising magma. Taking much of his father’s stature and color but in his mother’s fancier patterns. A near identical image of his late older brother. A tall and lanky fellow, he has yet to develop maturity within his frame though muscles do paint a strong structure that will only become thicker in time.

A gait that is meant to seem poised, but he often finds himself tripping over his own clown shoe like paws. When he isn’t losing his footing, it can seem almost haunting with such swaying steadfast movements that almost gives off a prowling effect that is oddly alluring. Crimson gaze doesn’t match anything else about him, nearly always overtaken with a forlorn expression, an apparition in the shape of a wolf. While others may see him as a will-o-wisp enticing them to come to their doom by approaching.

Passersby would say he always looks to be in deep prayer, eyes often closed and at peace with his head lowered or raised to the winds when he is alone and away from tribulations. In truth, he is simply one to allow all his uncertainty to fall from him by mediation, in hope the next day he might rise and lose them entirely. Reach a higher enlightenment where mortal woe ceases to exist.

Devout to family, Jacob and the fae, the boy is hard to shake away from his values and will stand by them till his dying breath. Some may say he is too forward facing to the spirits of the land and dubbed him an envoy of the fae but the same could be said about all the things he puts first in his life. Very scrutinizing of cause and effect, if he is not placing 110% of himself into his faith and family then he can’t expect the same in return. Karma: give and take is a ticking reality, one he lives by.

His father’s weight constantly being placed upon his shoulders has resulted in him being very insecure as he never feels like he is living up to the chief’s expectations no matter how hard he tries. He wants to be the heir he is potentially destined to be but all he sees is failure every way his head turns. He covers this up with a mask of confidence and a bold disposition, certain showing this side of himself would etch the deepest frown on anyone that sees potential within him if they knew how deeply he resents himself. He doesn’t want them to think less of him. He wants everyone to adore him, not shun him.

Being a clumsy teen does not help in this, still growing into his body and trying to find himself every step of the way. Wishing he could write a future for himself instead of never knowing what may happen. Is trying to make others proud even worth it? If he can get his father to smile with unrestrained pride, will that make him truly happy? A mind riddled with uncertainty.

In the end, he is actually a very kind boy that doesn’t allow his soft side to bleed onto his sleeve just for anyone, doing his best to appear as a leader to be and others can rely on.
