Appearance
The pipes, the pipes are calling... Like most of the wolves in his bloodline, Cathal is massive. He might have outgrown even his father, had he lived to see his son reach adulthood. His chest and shoulders are broad, and he is powerfully built. But he will likely develop even thicker, more rugged muscles as he matures. His stature may lend itself to intimidation, but his face does not. Cathal has been blessed with boyishly handsome features, and it is rare to see him without a smile.

His coat is mostly ashen, with darker points of charcoal at his extremities. In the shadow of his face, his blue eyes are especially striking. Cathal is hilariously expressive, which is another way of saying he's a terrible liar. Even if he wanted to deceive someone, his face would give him away. Or his ears. Or his tail.

Perhaps it's for the best. He isn't smart enough to come up with a decent lie, anyway.

Cathal is pronounced CAH-hull.

Personality
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side... If there's one thing Cathal is, it's likable. He's charming, compassionate, and genuine. He wears his heart on his sleeve—and what a big heart it is. He's empathetic to a fault and never hesitates to help others. But this isn't always a good thing. His devotion to the Highlands and his willingness to make sacrifices for others could very well cost him his life in the coming war.

Family is everything to Cathal. Much of his time is spent caring for his younger siblings or playing with one of his cousins. As a pup, he deeply admired his father, who died in battle before his children were even a year old. Cathal knows the consequences of war, and still, he romanticizes such heroism. The question is, will Cathal live to be a hero? Or will he die as one?
