Profile of Mios

Child of the earth. Mios is the land upon which Mother Nature created a flourishing ecosystem. He is always churning through the dirt with his paws and snout, searching for new soil to sample or insects to unearth that are then featured in his fur. The hugs inflicted upon his loved ones leave them with muddy stains that go unnoticed due to his adornment of camouflaging browns. A sizable lad with strong features and rough paws, he makes quick work of physical tasks without complaint. Scientific delight makes his eyes sparkle, spools of late afternoon light spread unto a bed of moss.

A family tree as large as it is ancient channels the soldier's spirit through each of its branches, falling short of one. The heart that beats in the chest of Mios Moss Tiamat is gentle. He has no ravaging fire within him; his is the flame that coaxes steel to bend. He is patient and placating, honoring his father before him, and his warmth is inviting, like a crackling heart on a chilly winter's night. Mios loves freely, unreservedly, and–too often–naively.

Mios showed an early affinity for learning, the natural world, and especially learning about the natural world. He's delighted by the creatures that repulse others, finding bugs and vermin to be cute and sneaking them home as pets that are swiftly released back into the wild (or so he's told) when they're discovered by one of the adults.

An unexpected but no less unwanted out of season pregnancy surprised Belfast and Xandria in the summer of 1710. Mios and his sister Miread were born to the pair of newlyweds while right outside their door war ravaged the country. Nonetheless, the youngest Tiamat children were provided a carefree childhood allowing them to run and play, explore the manse, and bond with the family members that did not march to the north.
