Profile of Datura

The smallest of her litter, Daisy was as dainty and as gentle looking as her namesake flower. She is bathed mostly in an ivory hue, with hints of pale tan markings adorning her small frame. Her eyes are a vivid orange hue, a lighter shade than her father's. Otherwise, she does not closely resemble either of her biological parents.

The girl's timidity is apparent in the way she carries herself, with a shy expression. As a younger child, when she was still surrounded by wolves she felt comfortable around, there was nearly always a smile on her muzzle. When she is around strangers, her pale ears are pinned backward and head bowed slightly. She was seldom found without a sibling (or two or three or four) close by during her first several weeks of life.

As she ages, her smiles will become less frequent with changing circumstances and deep loss. She will always be thin, with a graceful look about her, even through the awkwardness of adolescence. But the happiness of her earliest months will fade into a very different and unexpected future, with a new name: Datura.

Daydream believer. Pure love in baby form. She is a sweet pup by nature, one who is eager to help those in need, even from a very young age. She is sensitive both to her own feelings and the emotions of others. As an infant and toddler, she will adore cuddles and affection from her parents and sisters and brother.

Lacking the self-assurance and boldness of her siblings, she is instead more of an observer than a participant in their adventures. She is not as reckless as other pups could certainly be. The pup is smart and thoughtful in her approach to her actions and words. She is not exactly fearful, since her family is her solace... Until she is two months old.

Born into a large, loving family on the eve of war, the first of a litter of three. Her larger littermates are Piper and Soraya, and the pups were conceived the evening before their mother and father married, beneath the magic of the Northern Lights. Previous to Daisy's litter, other siblings had arrived one year prior -- "twins" Summit and Journey, and beloved foundling Fern. The Eithne clan mostly traveled rather than settling in one place, but Daisy was born in the Fae Forest of the Highlands. She knew nothing of the war that worried her parents so much, as they did everything in their power to protect their progeny from the unnecessary violence.

When she is still little more than a baby, everything will change, with a new "family" taking the place of her birth kin. Due to her young age, she will not remember much of her past, her parents, or her siblings, except in fleeting glimpses of the past, perhaps in a dream or in a passing memory. Even her name will be lost to the past when she is bestowed with a new one...

After one fateful night and a game of hide and seek gone awry, she was taken by Rhiannon, a witch who desired a family of her own. Rhiannon belived the child was a war orphan. Soon, the girl now called Datura would have a whole new family, brand new sisters, and an entirely different way of life.
