Profile of Roisin

A small frame that is by no means dainty or soft. Hard graft has formed an athletic, well muscled build of a hard working woman. Her fur is the colour of autumn leaves, a brownish orange that meets with a wintery white covering her undersides and curls around her eyes of deep red, a prized trait of the clan blood that runs in her veins. A black cape flows over her back tipped with a white trim and the same shade blazes up her nose and the backs of her ears.

An iron will forged with the fire of the highlander blood that flows through her veins. Roisin is a survivor. Life as a mainlander servant almost crushed her spirit, but her hatred of them and dream of returning to the wilds of Perth kept her strong. Her estrangement from her family and separation from her own culture left her feeling like a stranger. She wants to belong somewhere and find acceptance, but can't shake the feeling of shame that crawls through her skin when she looks at her reflection.

The Samaire family were once a highlander clan of significant influence from Perth, staunch Jacobite loyalists who followed their queen and prince into battle. Luthais Samaire refused to kneel before the false king even as the highlander armies were crushed. The white flag was not raised until it was soaked in Kiel's blood. The Samaire heir was dead and Luthais' remaining child was taken as a ward to ensure his compliance. The yearling Roisin was escorted to the mainlands and became part of the Vanadium household to serve as a maid to the young lord and lady.

Under her lord's orders Roisin finally returned home to the Highlands to Tir Na Nog where Prince Jacob made his first public appearance in years. Surrounded by everything she'd lost Roisin broke under the pressure of Elias' entitlement and longing to be free. The pair quarrelled and Elias severed her bonds with cold indifference. Her homecoming was not the dream she expected it to be as her father scorned her for her weakness and meek manner. Foolishly hoping to prove her worth she enlisted with the Jacobian Army and was assigned under her father, Chief Luthais Samaire's command.
