Personality

A big burly wilderness man who lives in Redwood and is the descendant of the McKellan Clan (from the desc) and he’s sworn to protect the forest after its history. He is a huntsman/woodsman and deals in trades of lumber and butchered meats. He’s a recluse, therefore is mysterious to the townsfolk that live nearby and he’s so massive that many are scared of him. He lets them believe what they want to believe even tho he has the soul of a wee fawn.

History
While the McKellan Clan has since dispersed among Rionnach, they live on in their descendants. They originated as a Highlanders in culture and were one of the first clans to be conquered and assimilated into the mainland. Modern day members with any of the blood would likely be so anglicized there’d be no Highlander culture left. Or so the patriarchy would have hoped.

Sundstol was raised by those who still held pride in the McKellan Clan legacy and sought to rekindle their Highlander heritage despite their assimilation. His family line even still clung to the surname McKellan. His mother was a Nord and thus his first name originated from her culture. As a child he was raised upon the stories and history of his Clan, the origin story of Redwood was one that has always stuck with him.

When he was of age to settle his own lands, he left his home in the Mainlands to build his own stead in the middle of Redwood, seeking solace in nature while also vowing to protect it as homage to his ancestral blood. To this day, he calls that forest his home and is known by locals to be he Guardian of Redwood.
