Appearance

Born sickly, the runt of the litter, Gwyn never grew into the full size and stature of his siblings. Instead, he possesses a petite, frail figure. Despite this, and perhaps in reflection of his personality, the boy carries himself with the devil-may-care confidence that one would expect from a larger, healthier wolf.

He is draped in a pelt of unmarked ivory, stark in contrast to the earthy browns and russets of his siblings and parents. His fur is fine and silky in texture, possessing an earthy, floral scent. His skin is a rosy pink, and susceptible to burning under direct sunlight. The boy’s eyes are a soft rose.

Due to his albinism, his eyesight is considerably weakened and he is prone to sun sensitivity.

Personality

Friendly to a fault, Gwyn wears his heart on his sleeve. A born chatterbox with a playful arrogance and smart mouth, but lacking in filter and often forgets to think before he speaks. Gwyn often lands himself in trouble due to his quips, but the boy is usually able to sweet-talk his way out of any awkward situation (just not quite as easily as he talks himself into them).

Despite his apparent confidence, Gwyn is still young and was sheltered for much of his life. He thrives on attention, even if it’s not always good; the right wolf would certainly be able to knock him down a peg or three. At his heart, Gwyn just wants to be liked, and being ignored and overlooked is the easiest way to sour his mood and trigger teenage insecurity.

History

Gwyn was born the youngest of a litter of three to a family of simple farmers. In addition to his unusual appearance, he was the runt of the litter and not expected to live beyond the first few months of his life.

Despite this, his mother appealed to the nurses at the college to help give her son the best chance at life, taking up work to pay for his treatments, a cause of contention between herself and her husband Emyr, who believed it to be a pointless effort.

But Cerys continued taking Gwyn for his monthly checkups, and the young boy quickly developed his own interest in medicine. At a year old, with his health continuing to improve against all odds, and being well-liked by his nurses, he was offered a scholarship to study medicine at the college which he was more than happy to take.
